The Fakes, a punk/post punk/new wave band from Stirling, released one EP, Production, on Deep Cuts Records in 1979 but disbanded after drummer Brian Kemp was tragically killed in a motorcycle accident.

The 2020 line-up features original members Johnny McGuire and Jimmy McEgg with William Baird and Lee McPhail.
